Actually, it reminds me how much better I like the looks of the 996 over the 997, at least in the cabs. That rear end just gets WAY too big with the newer model.

 

tooloud10. I must say I like them equally, they both have enduring looks and that explains why I kept the 996. As a matter of fact, I can't wait to get the 996 with the new x51.

 

I thought exactly the opposite with that pic. I like the big hips on the new cab.

Funny thing, I refer to my 996 as a he, I guess due to the narrow hips. My 997S I refer to as a she and that's definitely because of the curvier wider hips. What's even funnier is that my wife originally named the 996 "Consentido", Spanish/English translation means to "pamper, spoil". Well, as you can imagine the 997 was labelled with the feminine form.
