Default Headlight Film??

I was thinking of purchasing some clear headlight film to protect my Bi-Xenons. However , just read something in the Owners manual that says not to put any stone guards or film on the headlights.

Has anybody put film on their Bi-Xenon lights? I was looking at the 40 mil
3M kits that Automotion sell.

My car has had film (Ventureshield) on its Bi-Xenon lights for about 3.5 yrs, installed as part of the clear bra install by the Premier folks. No yellowing thus far and no issues either. No experience with the 3M kits.

Have the 3M kit on mine for 2 years. No issues so far. I would say it's probably worth it.

Had it for two years, part of the clear bra installation by Premier. The film still looks like new, and I will do it again.

Dealer offered a 3M rockguard on the front of the car. That included the headlights. I hope it'll be fine.

I imagine the manual says that because they are concerned with heat dissipation (?) - but I've used xpel on non-P cars and never had a problem.

It's not a problem. We have been installing it on cars since 1997 and not one came back with any problems with the lights.
