Are you looking to get water spot free results from a hand wash? After you wash and rinse your car, use a leaf blower to remove 95% of the remaining water and then follow up with a good quality micro fiber towel.

I would divide the car into 4 sections and do the complete process on each section before moving on to the next section. As you blow dry each section, make sure you blow all of the water out of the body panel seams. Here is the process I used, working from the top to the bottom.
  • Top and all glass - wash, rinse, blow dry, micro fiber towel.
  • 1st side and front hood and bumper - wash, rinse, blow dry, micro fiber towel.
  • 2nd side and rear deck lid and bumper - wash, rinse, blow dry, micro fiber towel. Open the rear deck lid and blow the water out of the engine compartment. This also lets the water drain from the deck lid.
  • Wheels & tires - wash, rinse, blow dry, micro fiber towel.
This process elimimated 99% of my water spots.

I have been using "The Absorber".

Quite amazing. It is like a synthetic Chamois ("shami"). It absorbs much more water than a real chamois or microfiber, and is incredibly soft leaving no swirls. Lasts forever. I think I bought mine at Walmart for less than $10.

Default thanks

they are 19's re-finished in Hyper Silver "black", running H/R spacers all around, tech art coil overs and the rear spoiler is from a 997TT. Thanks for the good words...

I've been useing The Absorber for over 15 years on all my cars and boats. Awesome product.

1-wipe down the car with The Absorber
2- use a baterry powered leaf blower and get all the water out of the nooks and crevis and follow with the Absorber
3- blow dry the wheels, rotors and calipers with the leaf blower then use what ever you can to get inside the wheels.
4- final wipe down with a microfiber towel and Mequires Instant Detailer or what ever your favorite detailer is.

DO NOT USE A GAS POWERED BLOWER!!!! Most gas powered blowers exit the 2-stroke exhaust through the blower nozel and you will get small 2-stroke oil droplets all over your car.

He's one of those hucksters that you see at the county or state fair selling the ginzu knives or the vegamatics, etc. They always have those headsets on.

My daughter and wife have been teasing me that I'm getting sham-wows for Christmas
