I have experinced the problem of getting into first gear as well. I usually shift into second, then into first, i think somone also stated that it is better for the gearbox to select second gear, then first when wanting to select first. Im talking about not moving or letting the clutch out in second, just putting it in second, then first to move away.

Mike dont know what TSB is but don't think there is an official recall but apparently there has been an updated part number for the cable and i have read elsehwhere that they improved it...happy ny

I have a problem with the 1st gear sticking but never 3 or 4th.
