They are unnecessary on the 997 models. Of course, there are some people that will buy whatever comes along and then they think it makes a difference.

If you are driving an older 911 with age and miles on it, then it's something that will help. On the newer cars,--no.

At least the 996's did.

Why stiffen the front end without the rear? You're just increasing understeer. I agree they're unneccesary- the 997 frame is incredibly stiff as it is and I doubt you'd even feel one.

I've got one from my C2S. Anyone local can have it for cheap. I bought mine from EVOMS.

WASTE of money. 997 body cars do not need them.

Well, just go out to the garage and tear your car apart, then report back. We'll wait..............

The 997 GT3 does. I saw it. I guess it would be the same on the 997.

With these monocoque bodies it's just not necessary, even on the cabs. They became very necessary on the older 911s as the metal began to fatigue over the decades. I put one in my 1981 car. I purchased it at Zuffenhausen's race parts shop years ago.

It you buy one of today's versions you will find it to be contributing nothing. If Porsche thought it would serve a useful purpose they would have put it in all 997s.
