LOL @ him saying the 3.8L is the base engine. But pretty damn cool vid.

I gotta say; He'd be OUR perfect host for the American Top Gear series.

Again, fantastic vid. "Then there's me- more money then brains! Yee haw!!!"- Jay Leno

I wish he was more articulate like Clarkson- but still he's a funny bastard!

backseat is appropriate if your kids are just... fetuses, or born within the last hour!

I can think of 20 other actual funny people that I would rather have host Top Gear for the US.

I would prefer a car guy with a great sense of humor, over a humorist with a love for cars. It just goes to perspective.

That said, Leno is alright with me.

Who are these 20 people you think would be much better?

Adam Corolla - would be my top pick - apparently a car guy, irreverent
Paul Rudd - not a comedian, but a comedic actor
Patrick Dempsey - not a comic, but paired with one he might be good. Car guy for sure.
David Spade - funny guy, don't know if he is knowledgeable about cars
Norm McDonald
Tom Arnold - a little out there, but interesting maybe?
Bill Simmons - writes a blog for espn.com, funny, relevant
Seth Rogan
Colin Quinn
Dennis Leary
Jim Bruer
Jay Moer

How many is that? Not my list of funniest people, more who I thought might fit.

I would add Jerry Seinfeld (car guy), Drew Carey (I think he's a car guy too)

You guys do realize that production of the US "Top Gear" is already under way, right?

Jay Leno turned it down; the three hosts are Adam Carolla, Tanner Foust, and Eric Stromer.

Surprised you guys did not catch Jay mispronouncing Porsche incorrectly. Porsche is a 2 syllable word! However it was a great piece on Jay's great website.
