The cords i have run to the glove box are the cord that plugs into the ipod and a usb cable. The usb cord looks like it needs to be plugged into something not have something plug into it. In other words you can't plug a flash drive into it.

The update is visible for me in two ways:

1) Instead of "iPod" in the first line of artist information, this is now replaced with the name of the playlist, if playing from one. This can be handy. So, we now have three lines - playlist, name (12 character), name (6 or 7 character) - the second two lines are dependent upon the structure of the iPod tags. The first is supposed to be song title. I'd like to be able to use all three for artist info - maybe artist, song and album or something.

2) Instead of a greyed out option "4", there are some additional sort/play criteria - I can't remember what these are but it seemed to be of minor value. But an extra sort/play criteria is obviously a plus.

What are the changes for the BTA1500? Has anyone noted a difference there?

We worked with Dension on some mods for the BTA, namely turning off surround sound and audio pilot when calls come in, then back when calls are done. We've also asked for another tweak to the system, which should be coming shortly, but not in this update.

I finally the plug situation figured out but I don't think it acutally did the upgrade. Maybe I didn't copy it the flash drive correctly. When it says copy the file to the root drive of the flash drive, what does that exactly mean? Is it more than dragging and dropping from windows explorer?
