I need a curb ramp to avoid my 997 scraping the side walk when backing out. I'm using a couple of concrete slabs over the gutter. Any suggestions for products out there?

Griots has some in their catalogue but I don't have any personal knowledge about them.

Put it in reverse, redline it, then dump the clutch. You should get enough air over the curb that it won't scrape.

There is a product made of recycled tires which also has drainage relief on the underside that will do what you want. Continue checking Rennlist and perhaps Rennteam for it. I recall seeing photos of it as a solution for that specific problem.

check www.griotsgarage.com, they have a curb bridge for $299.00 plus shipping add $70.00. or \\\ use a piece of wood and paint it same color as your curb $20.00

When I was lowered with H & R's I could barely drive the car in my home town due to the deep swales at every interestion. I became a master at taking the swales at angles to lift the car one corner at a time. Do you exit your driveway on a 45 degree angle?

My ghetto solution? A few bundled newspapers stacks like the ones you put out for recycling.

Drive out, leave'em on the curb or toss them back to the fence. No one will steal them.

My street was recently re-paved which apparently added an inch or two to the height of the street. Now when I back out of my driveway, regardless of the speed, I get the scrape. Not much I can do about I suppose.

The real question is whether this will really do any damage to the car over time.

Looking a the Griot's product, I don't think it will solve the problem for me. The angle of the driveway apron now combined with the higher street level due to the recent repaving creates the problem. The *** end of the car is now raised an extra inch or so due to the new asphalt, which drops the nose accordingly and it scrapes the concrete apron. I need to put something on the apron to keep the front wheels raised another inch so the nose clears. The Griot's product looks like it provides a ramp at the very bottom where the two angles (apron meets street) converge.

If a simple piece of wood works, then I'll seek a more permanent solution. I marked the spot on the apron where the wheels are when the nose scrapes. (It's nice to have an understanding wife to help with these somewhat odd chores).

My bumper is okay, but there is a spot on the bottom of the car about a foot back that is scraped pretty badly already.

It also depends upon the neighborhood you live in....unless you have a gated community or a fairly upscale neighborhood, I can see you coming out in the morning and looking around for your $300 ramps.

Well I pulled the trigger on the Griot's ramps. Can't bear to listen to the rubber lip scrape anymore in the mornings. There are others on the market that look similar, but they're all in the same general price range. As for theft, I'm a little worried about that but hopefully nobody but gearheads will recognize their value (they are, after all, 150 lb pieces of rubber).

am722, did you purchase them in anticipation of the new 09's PASM sport suspension height?
I am getting an 09 C4S with PASM sport suspension (20mm) and concerned about the clearance issue. My current 08 C4S will scrape if I don't approach at a 45 degree angle. I think the bridge from Garoits should work.
After you get yours installed and use with your new 997.2 please advise how it is working.

Yes, my base 997 barely scrapes now so I know I need to do something before the new car arrives. The ramp should be here in about a week so I'll report back then.

Have you considered putting in 2 or 3 (recessed) concrete bolts to anchor them so they can't be stolen so easily?
