Clear Bra or not?

not a criticism to the quoted poster, but most ppl use "wax" or "detail" in a very general sense. if it takes you less than 10 hours to detail a car (unless you are a pro, we work slightly faster and yes, i used to be a pro detailer), you are simply cleaning the car, not "detailing" it. to wax a car with clear film shouldn't leave any wax residue. you need to take up all the seams, as well as any plastic trim, you dont want to run high speed buffer over plastic trims or clear bra's. also, wipe the wax AWAY from bra seam, not into it.
unless you really hate the slight opaqueness of film, for most ppl, having the film is better than not having it. for a street car, you will get ALMOST no paint chip up front. for occasionally tracked car say less than 10 days, you be a moron not to have clear bar. for track rats, like me, i have bra on, but i need new film on hood/bumper every two years and new rocker and wheel well film literally every months. so i dont bother with rocker and wheel well anymore.
finally, the film is a PROTECTION, not an accessory. it's meant to be "used up". and periodically, you just need to buy new ones. you know, it's just like CONDOMS. you cant just buy one and hoping it last forever, seriously.
you have to decide for yourself. some of my more expensive cars are actually not covered b/c i track them too much to worry about it. but to the extent i can protect my other cars, i use films.
and sam, wilson, chris at premier are very very good at installation. 1/2 of the ppl who don't like film is b/c it's poorly installed. take a look at a good installer's job then decided. btw, there are very very few installer. i have only seen two shop in the greater SF bay area that i would let them touch my cars. and premier is the better of the two.

The link I saw was psuedo info-mercial, where they put it on, took a trip, washed it off, checked the result. It seemed like a ton of work, but for a full weekend of tracking it might be worthwhile if it worked...
