I can't upgrade the Tooki software, but the iPhone 3G works well with it. No problems, except I am not sure how to set up a "phone book" which will sync with the tooki. So I have no prestored numbers now. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

1) why can't you upgrade the Tooki? All you need is a bluetooth capable laptop.
2) go on the forums at navtv.com and post your q, you should get a reply on the specific issue.

 

You'll need a Win-Doze laptop, with Bluetooth, and then it doesn't always work. The software is fairly immature. I put my topnotch software geek on it and he was unable to get it to take a program revision. I wind up sending the unit back to NAV-TV for upgrading. (A royal pain, etc.)

After I press "Search for devices", I wait. It is a race to see whether the car battery or my laptop battery runs out first. No connection ever achieved on multiple attempts. I can sit in my car with a book. The PCM says "tooki searching", and that annoying little bar on the laptop just keeps crossing the screen, left to right again and again.

Yes, bluetooth laptop to update. Updater is on that site too. If you do not have a BT laptop running Windows, find a friend who does.

 

Running XP on a Dell inspiron with a bluetooth doncle, and two different Vostro models with integrated bluetooth, multiple attempts with each computer, all failed. Not for want of trying.
