Default Rough Idle (esp. with a/c off)

Took my 06 C2 to an indy Porsche shop for its 2 yr service. Mechanic felt the car was idling rough. Since I got the car last year (CPO, 9K miles) it hasn't idled totally smoothly, particularly when the A/C is off, and it is no worse / no better than when I first got the car. I thought it was normal. Even with the A/C running the mechanic felt the Porsche was running too rough. I took the car to a dealer. They compared the car to another C2 and agreed the car was running rough. Have an appt. nxt week to have the problem diagnosed and hopefully fixed.

Anyone experienced a similar problem? Theories about what it could be? Also, anyone have experience with service at Downtown LA Porsche?

The car has 16K miles, zero mods, and is under warranty.

My initial guess... spark plugs.

Perhaps. The car shakes a bit but the RPMs are steady. Would think that a bad plug would make the RPMs fluctuate. I'm thinking it might be a bad mount or something. Will post back when I find out.

Dealer replaced the engine mounts today, and the idle/vibration is much, much better. Many thanks to the Rennlist community, and particularly marky522, for giving me information to point the dealer in the right direction.

I've seen several posts concerning this problem w/ the 3.6, but never seen someone post a solution. Hopefully this will help people in the future. The fix was covered under warranty.

How many miles on the car now? Just curious.
