Default Aqua Blue Metallic?

Hi folks -

Does anyone have pictures of Aqua Blue Metallic? I am considering ordering an '09 cab with that color but am hesitant to do so without seeing it somewhere other than in the Configurator.

Thanks in advance!

(Note: I searched on this site but have not yet found a link to that particular shade of blue)

Mike

Have not seen any pictures of that color since it is new. I am sure somebody has a photo though.

And even that won't be enough... photos don't tell you the truth either. Not only are pictures affected by camera as well as monitor settings, but the colors also change significantly under different lights.

Whichever becomes your favorite color, make sure to obtain a color sample from the dealer and expose it to different lighting situations: at a minimum, look at it under a blue sky in direct sunlight and under an overcast sky, but preferably also at dawn, at sunset, and at night.

The hues of Porsche colors are amazing and I had quite a few colors on my short list that I liked based on photos, but that one by one got deleted because I did not like their change of color under certain conditions. To find out, I actually drove to Dallas, Houston, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans, and looked at a bunch of cars.

I can't wait for Aqua either... I think there are quite a few people waiting to see it, but it may take a while... I remember the wait for Ruby Red... it wasn't until late September that we got to see the color sample (click here) and until late October that we had the first picture of it on a 997 in that color (click here).

All that being said: Welcome to Rennlist!

There are "official" pictures on the microsite (http://www.porsche.com/microsite/911/usa.aspx).

Here's aqua from different pages of the Porsche website.

(At second thought, the first two almost have to be cobalt).

Hopefully I'll see it and the new White when I go to training in PA this month.

Actually, I think those first two are the aqua. I can't personally tell much of a difference between cobalt and aqua (in pictures, anyway).

Here is aqua on the configurator:

And here is the picture from the microsite:

Maybe it's a little brighter than cobalt?

I love the blue in the configurator but, as many of you have pointed out, pictures look different in different light. I may just have to order Meteor and run with it (last FIVE cars including an '06 997) have been silver... time for a change. I do love some silver, though!

The thought about traveling to see the color may be the best way to go about it. I'll keep on top of incoming inventory as best I can and make a quick run when available.

By the way, LOVE the Cayenne pig!!
