Default Uncomfortable seats

1700 miles and I still can't find the right seating position. Maybe there are too many positons to choose from, but I can't seem to find one that's comfortable. Probably just me. Going on a 1400 mile road trip next week so maybe it'll work itself out, but damn, it's not like this is my first P-car or anything! Am I alone on this?

No, I think the seats are terrible. They should contract with BMW for seats.

Let's not get crazy here. The seats are awesome, you just need to find what works for you.

So, with that being said:

1) How tall are you?
2) Is your torso longer then your leg's are visa versa?
3) Are you 'wide' shouldered? aka stalky?

4) Where are you 'most' uncomfortable?

and lastly- Do you have Full Power Seats or Standard Seats? OR Sport Seats?

I'm 5'6" and weigh 185. I have short legs and big shoulders and chest.

I have the standard sports seats in my car and I think they're some of the best chairs I've ever enjoyed. Simply fantastic.

In addition, the steering wheel is adjustable, so try that plus the seat position. It takes time to get it right...

+1. I have the stock seats with the electric option. I found them to be more comfortable than the adaptives. The lumbar adjustment helps alot, as someone else stated.....GR

6 feet, 170. I have the std sport seats and think they are pretty awesome. I do like BMW sport seats, too.

The adaptives were too expensive for me. I got the standard sport seats and love them. IMHO they are much better than the standard seats. They aren't electric but I'm the only one that drives my car so they're always in the perfect position.

Until you take it in for service, get the car back and find the seat is way to close to the steering wheel, and way up, because the mechanic was 8 inches shorter than you

I've banged my knees on the steering wheel numerous times after getting a car back from the service personel.

I couldn't get comfortable either when I road tested a '08 C2S with standard seats. In my opinion the standard seats don't provide enough thigh support. The seats seem to tilt forward slightly as you raise them up. I got the adaptive sports seats in the '08 C2S that I bought and they're great, although kind of expensive. Porsche sure knows how to charge $$$ for options. $540 for red seat belts???
