Question LED DRLs - Selectable or Mandatory?

The MY '09 997s now have LED Daytime Running Lights in the turn signal module.
Does anyone know if the DRLs are driver selectable (as they are in current 997s with the Sport Chrono PCM) or ON all the time?
Just curious.

I hope you can turn them off, if not your dealer will. Mine is very friendly he turned off my seat belt buzzer.

You drive without using your seatbelt?

The one thing that stands out whenever I see an S5 is the DRL LED's. Can't understand why you would turn them off.

I suspect some may not like the "Christmas-lights" appearance of the LED DRL. IIRC from the various 997.5 links, the DRL is driver selectable.
