I use thr 997 as my DD and have the Lexus for long trips and when traveling with 4 people etc, but I need an utility car for transporting plants, mulch, parking at NFL games etc. I am considering the outback wagon, any 997 owners have experience with this car?

Why not a small pickup? It would be handier for mulch, plants, etc. I bought a slightly used Ranger Edge a few years ago for $10k, drove it for 2 years while updating my house, then sold it for $200 less than I paid for it. My Porsche depreciates that much every week or 2.

I had similar decision and was considering Subaru, Audi wagon, or BMW all-wheel sportwagon. BMW definitely was the most fun drive and had just as much room as the other two so that's what i chose. Of course, it WAS more expensive, but I keep all my cars a mimimum of 10 years...............

i have a dodge ram 1500 as my utility vehicle. has 6 seats and a 6' bed. Useful for everything from home depot runs to tailgate party - highly recommend a pickup. And they are super cheap right now.
