Aerokit, Porsche makes the best looking "kit" for this car.

Sure, the front lip is low and yes you can scrape it, but no matter, it still looks more balanced with the Aerokit.

It's your car, do it if you like it. Life is too short to suffer living a boring existance. Get the black lower lip and also get a spare for times when you want it to look perfect cuz you can't help but scrape it now and again. Wifey and I are late 50s and she drives the C2S more than I do. She also is getting a lot faster at autox with it.

My 993 C4S, had the aero kit, loved it. I can't say that I actually experienced the benefits of the reduced lift the kit gave but the additional cooing was greatly appreciated. My daughter hated the additional attention we received. I loved the sound of the engine.....with that remember life is short, enjoy YOUR car.....If you want the wing, get it. Oh, yes, it is a must to add the front lower lip.....it will scrape so just take it easy. But my vote for the 997, keep the classic look....ENJOY

I understand your point but if you take that logic further we should ditch our 997s and get Ariel Atoms or Lotus Exiges

For that matter - my S2000 feels more like a pure sports car than my 911.

Ever since I picked up the 911 - my wife has been after me to sell the S2000 but I enjoy that car immensely. Over the past month or so I've been entertaining the idea upgrading the S2000 to an Elise in pursuit of a more pure sporting experience (and a cheaper car to take to the track than my C2S )

I think it is totally up to you. I have been thinking of adding a wing and the aero kit form techart. I will say this about the wing. Personally I would go with the smaller one just because it is understated yet not stock. Techart has one that fits the bill here is a picture.

Back on topic - it's certainly a personal opinion but I wouldn't get the Aerokit - I'd rather save my $$$ and trade up to a GT3.

Personally I think this car looks best without a lot of aero but that Techart wing is a cool look.

Here's my wingless car...

lig, those wheels are AWESOME! Very clean looking!

My car is now wingless but my new 2009 will get the aerokit as soon as it is available. I tried to order it with the car but the 2009 aerokit is not available yet.

Hey Mike - thanks for the kind words. I was taking the lingerie approach... I figured the car had the PCCBs so I looked for the wheel that would ahhh... show them off to the fullest!

Kept the Sport Designs for my R888s.

I can't wait to hear your impressions of the PDK. Definitely post up your feedback. Sounds like it's good for a couple seconds at the 'ring at the very least. Way cool.

I've seen some nice RS wings on the 997 - looks like it might be the best for downforce for track use.

If someone thinks that rear wings are ugly, I have no problem with that.

But if people call you a poser because a rear wing is not necessarily needed on your car, it merely means that they are strictly rational/functional in their decision making and evaluation approaches.

And because they are solely driven by functionality, it naturally also means that their women are ugly, their places are small, their food is terrible, and their clothes are horrendous...

As a connoisseur of visioaffective stimuli, I immensely enjoy the benefits of beautiful cars (and of hot chicks, big places, and excellent food, for that matter), functional/necessary or not.

[Yeah, yeah, I'm kidding. Somewhat.]

I'm not adversed to tails,--I think they should be scaled to the car. Here was my quite simple early turbo carrera tail on my narrow-body turbo.
