I hate it and would never consider putting it on a car.

I didn't get one on my Boxster and resprayed the entire front end a few months back. And then put a clear-bra on it. I learned my lesson and had the guys a PNO put the film on my Carrera before it was delivered.

Paint protection film isn't perfect, regardless of what installer you use. Some are (much) better than others, but the film is always noticeable if you know it's there and look for it. It is the lesser of two evils, when compared to the bazillion stone chips I got without it.

I love it.
It's especially fun trying to explain to the foreign gentlemen at the gas stations that its not a giant scratch running across my fenders and hood its a "clear bra".

Clear bras, vinyl bras, leopard skin bras - all the same.

Ridiculous.

Still have plastic wrap on your lampshades and vinyl covers on your furniture? Do you toss knit doilies on your leather seats to stop hair products from impregnating your "porsche crest in headrest"?

Cars are for driving, driving has consequences. There's nothing that a "bra" will protect you from that can't be remedied later.

Geez - bras still get chips in 'em from road debris. Does a chipped bra look any better than chipped paint?

Car bras - a brilliant marketing scheme to sell a product for which no need exists.

Simply my humble opinion, of course. No harm no foul toward any of you who have come to know and love them.

Well I think that pretty much says it all.

Put a visual psuedo-scratch on your paint to defend against the possibility of real scratches.

Yep, makes sense to me.

Got it. Don't know if it was worth it. Don't think it detracts all that much from the appearance of the car. Of course I can't tell how many small dings I have avoided.

I have not seen a clear bra in person that look good to me. Paint looks disorted and hate the edge that shows... It does help with protecting the paint but I haven't decided if it's worth the money and the eye sore IMO..

I have the full hood, full front fenders, mirrors, A pillars, front bumper and area behind the rear wheels.

After fighting road rash for years on my previous car (black NSX) I knew that I didn't want to do the same thing with my beautiful GT Silver Metallic paint.

You have to look very, very, very hard to see the clear bra and I'm very happy that I did it.

IMO, the film is secondary importance to the installer. The greatest film in the world will still look like crap if an incompetent installer does the work.

I can recommend the best installer in northern VA.

I couldn't live without mine. It has saved me $$$$$$$$ in repair costs on two distinct occasions. Road debris is a killer around here.

One of the benefits for me is evident this time of year. I hit lots of insects (or do they hit me?) and I can be much more aggressive with a bug sponge at wash time.

I have it on my car and I'm not a big fan.
After a few months it scratches and you can see blemishes from washing and removing the bugs. You can see the lines and dust gets in at the edge of the film.
Depending on the color, it changes the shade as well.
I don't recommend it on white car cause it looks yellow after a few weeks.
I won't get it again...
