Default Mt. Washington Auto Road

Covered Bridge on Conway on the way to Mt. Washington

Part of the dirt road on the way up.

Parking lot at the top.

Taken out the sunroof looking back from moving car purposely posted upside down.

Post any pics from the auto road if you got em!

Nice shots. Still, my favorite is the Kancamagus when it's not crowed.

Yep thats how I got there! Did you recognize the Covered Bridge? Its on Passaconway Rd. right off the Kancamangas and offers a very nice bypass road onto West Side Rd and around North Conway Traffic.

Is that a gravel road? I've been planning to drive up there sometime this summer, but now concerned about paint damage from all those stones. Might have to take the Cayenne.

Beautiful pics!
Amazing how much that looks like Colorado.
I really miss the northeast this time of year.

Nice pics, but:

DRIVING up Mt Washington should require a physical handicap. All others should be required to climb up. That is how you truely experience the many wonders of the area.

A small portion is gravel, and the parking lots as well. The gravel is in very nice shape and smoother than most of the pavement. Take the car specially the cab on a nice day.

LOL. Well I am a rock climber and a base jumper and quite frankly I would find hiking up Mt. Washington boring as hell. Yes I have hiked it , skied it, and ridden a motorcyle up it has well. I have yet to take the cog railway but that is on the list. The real interesting thing is they race up it sometime in June and they are doing it in under 7 minutes these days that is insane for a 8 mile run on that road.

I enjoy dodging the lightening bolts that come out of a clear sunny sky while hiking the trails.

I did. That used to be a secret among the locals. I say "used to be." ( just kidding).

N/C is such a beautiful area all year round. Bear Mtn Rd off the Kanc is ususally a nice run. Might be worth a try on your next time through. Last time I was there, maybe 2 years ago, I had a 987S. The road was a bit choppy but still fun.

Again, nice pics.

Thanks.
I was on Bear Mtn Rd a few years ago on a motorcycle and it was very choppy but beautiful. Very nice area thru out. 302, Evans Notch , Dixville Notch all worth while.
