Parrot may be the only 'best' option if you do not have the phone buttons.

Is the iPod updated? Connect to iTunes and update it, then do a hard reset on it (hold at 12 and center until it blanks out), then be sure it is in sleep mode.

If it charged before, there should be no reason why it would not charge now. Using 2.11 or 2.10?

If you need to revert, email me and I'll send you 2.10. Did you always use the iPod Touch, or is that new? If that is a new unit, then you need the updated cable on the Order page which resolved some of these issues a few months ago.

eric@bumperplugs.com anytime for questions/updates/issues.

Thanks.

Eric, question. How long are the wires? The Gateway is in the trunk of my Cayenne, how long is the BT1500 wire, and how long is the MIC wire to end up installing this in the mic location on the dome light area?
I think the tooki may end up going in the 997...

Nick -

I just received my package with BTA 1500, so here are the lengths:

Cord from BTA1500 to GW500 - 8 inches
Cord from BTA1500 to mic - 9.5 ft

Eric,
It works with the iphone apparently. But can you still use the ipod functions of the iphone without having to switch to airplane mode (and without having the static feed-back when not in airplane mode?)

TD - How were you able to mount the BTA1500 behind the center console and the GW500 in the trunk? My BTA1500 only came with 8 inches of cord to make that connection.

I'm having Bluetooth reception problems because my BTA1500 is mounted in the front trunk.

I think you can stream music from the iPhone to the BTA....but we have not fully tested all iPhone apps yet.

Jeff - most success has been mic near the dome lamp, driver side.

Eric - is the mic the bluetooth receiver also? Otherwise, my poor reception issue is most likely due to the distance and electronic clutter relating to the blue module.

Ipod is updated...charged okay before I did the last flash about 4 months ago. Don't know what version it is running now. Was running the initial firmware version on the Gateway500 but then went with the 1st upgrade then.

Ipod is updated and was working fine with my 20gig Ipod and then the Touch too until like I said I upgraded the Gateway and noticed the charging problem.

I have neither the GW 500 or the BTA and would certainly like both.

One of the posts mentions the risk to the overall warranty of the car posed by the installation of the GW500. How big a risk is this? Is it a concern to others here that any future problem associated with the screen/Bose/PCM/CD changer/etc. may then be attributed to having added this regardless of the true nature of the problem?
