Removing Alternator on 83SC cab and vibration damper?
On the 83SC cab there is bracket for the vibration damper that might interfere with the removal of the alternator/fan. Does anyone have any ideas if I need to remove that bracket....it looks like there is no space to remove fan/alternator.
thanks in advance, abe

First off, you should direct your question to the 911 forum. The 997 guys won't be as knowledgeable.
However, since you asked...the vibration dampener will have to come out, then loosen up the clamp that secures the alternator within the fan housing. then pull the alternator assembly out toward the rear. Obviously, leaving the dampener in there will impede your ability to move it aft.
