Any Porsche dealership loaning you a Porsche while yours is in the shop isn't thinking that through very effectively. I would bet you paid a lot closer to MSRP for your cars as a result. Who cares what they give you or if they give you anything at all.

Most of us should have several cars at home to chose from when the P-car goes in for service.

My shop gives me a ride home in either a MB or Toyota van. It's no big deal to me. Have you got any idea what maintaining a set of loaner Porsches, even Cayennes, runs a dealership??

first service today - below is what i got!

Impressions: Once you get over how big and heavy the thing is, it hauls and is truly fun to drive. In sport, it corners really well (given the weight). Also, in sport the engine sound is great. There is a real difference in performance and handling with sport on. This is not a manual (as they are rare); I bet the manuals are a real blast.

For me it has been either a Cayenne or an Audi A4.

Should I also have a power suit and huge house, because that's what Porsche owners have?

I HATE trying to maintain, drive, deal with parking, etc. more than one car for me. That's the reason I got the RS4 and why I'll get a 997TT. I just want one car to do it all.

The service departments shouldn't necessarily give you a Porsche loaner, but something more than a wind-up window Kia is definitely not asking for too much.
