Default Front license plate mount

I have a new supply of front plate mounting kit for those who do not want to drill any holes into their bumpers .

It consists of an aluminum bolt which threads into the front tow hook inlet and a heavy duty bracket to which the license plate is attached.
All included mounting hardware is rustproof aluminum and st.stl .

Many have bought them to just keep in the car or to pass Inspection .
It installs/removes in minutes , requires no drilling and nothing touches the bumper .

It fits all later model 911's and Boxter /Caymans .

The kit is $37.50 , including shipping in US and Canada .

If anyone is interested, you can contact me at :

I've got one of these - quality/etc is excellent. I (of course) haven't installed mine yet and got stopped over the weekend for no front plate. I told the officer I hadn't gotten around to installing it - he let me go with a verbal warning.

I just think it's more distracting,--offset as it is.

Not that you can see it when driving.

I just heard that Austin hired 32 new officers for enforcing things like inspections, insurance and registrations. I'm not going to push my luck anymore.

What's considered a "late-model" 911? Rolf, do you (or anyone else) know if this will work on a 996?

Thanks--

Well, I would not consider the car in your avatar ( although she's a"beauty" ) a " late " model . Lol

I know it fits the 996 and as " late" as a 993 .
I did not check any older models .

In any event , if you are not completely satisfied , for ANY reason,
you can return it within 30 days for a full refund.

Wow! About half the price of the moweraxle solution - which is very nice by the way and has the option to locate the plate closer to center.

I went through the thought process of deciding to drill the holes or not and finally gave in and mounted it regular. I realized that the temp solution of explaining to a local cop why it was not installed would work one time. Being that I drive in the same area everyday I figured it would only be a matter of time before I had to put it on forever. I could always use bumper plugs if I want.

NJ requires them. I've chosen to go without. In fact, when I did get pulled over for speeding, it gave the cop a nice convenient option OTHER than writing me up for speeding. Gave me a license plate ticket instead. Helps to have a spotless record when getting pulled over though.

Rolf,

I can't find mine - got any idea where I put it? I was going to take it to my dealers tomorrow and show the service/parts folks what it looked like, they want to order some. I've spent 2+ hours looking for the damn thing. I think it came in a large envelope - how big was the envelope (that might help me find it).

Which one has the option to locate the plate close to center?

Don't know about the Moweraxle; I have Rolf's. The pic showing the plate on the silver car shows its location about as far centered as it will go. The parts pic shows a rectangular piece which fits into the slots on the plastic plate to locate the same in relation to the post (which goes in the tow mount).

It is a nice product. The only quibble I have is that the the screws which mount the plate to the plastic backer are too long (even with plastic washers as spacers) and you could scratch the bumper if not careful. I set mine and sawed the ends off with a Dremel bit. I set it up to throw on if needed. Works great.
