FS:18' Turbo Twist (aftermarket) w/ winter Conti's
FS: 18' "Turbo Twist" wheels with Conti Winter Contact tires and TPMS. The set has approximately 6000 miles on them.
To get new from tirerack would be about $2000, not counting the TPMS sensors.
looking for $1250.

Would you seriously consider putting an aftermarket wheel on your car that costs far less than $500 each?? I'm always amazed with people who will jeopardize their safety with an inferior casting out of China on their $100,000 car.

Edgy, I didn't see where the OP said these were inferior castings. There are plenty of aftermarket wheels which are not inferior except in price, and IMO the factory wheels are way overpriced. Especially for winter use.
OP, you should post the size (wheel width, diameter and offset and tire sizes) for these. And since they are aftermarket, any info about the maker or at least where you bought them would help potential buyers judge them.

1) That tirerack.com is selling unsafe rims
2) That a sub-$500 rim couldn't be safe
3) That the price of the car has any bearing on how safe the rims are

No manufacturer listed on the wheels but they do say MADE IN ITALY. The fronts are marked 8Jx18H2 - ET50 and the rears 10Jx18H2 - ET65.
Tires are Conti Winters 235/40-18 and 265/40-18.

Several Rennlisters have been purchasing wheels off eBay for not a lot of money. The Chinese have been copying the real producers (e.g., BBS, Oz) for some time, often copying them down to the "made in Italy" inside the rear. While these particular wheels LOOK really nice it's best to know where they really came from. Where they take-offs from a 993 or 996 era car, or are they non-OEM? If non-OEM it's best to check them out. If you know wheels well you should know what original equipment wheels weighed for a particular design and dimension. Then you can compare that number to these. The Chinese have a tendency to copy a design but then produce them for less money by cheapening the contents. (We already know their labor is rock bottom). If they weigh less they are thinning out the walls of the spokes and other areas. Several purchasers of non-OEM wheels out of China have run into dimensional issues with wheels, where the area that accepts the bolts is not machined to mirror the factory bolts, creating a less than secure situation.

I have to add I don't appreciate the enormous assumptions you are making and insinuating about my particular wheels. 1st you assumed they were from China, inferior and unsafe. Then when I check them and they say "made in Italy" you insinuate that marking is fake as well. You also insinuate I bought them from e-bay, which I did not.
Additionally, this was not a discussion thread about wheels, but you have turned it into one at my expense. They performed just fine for me. 6,000 miles and no cracks or anything else that one might expect on a faulty wheel.

rfedele--I apologise for implying that these wheels are suspect of being something other than they appear to be. I wish you good luck with finding a buyer who can use another set of wheels for their car. You have set a very fair price on them considering what you paid for them from the Tire Rack.

For the record, I use that exact set up which I got from Tire Rack (assuming TS 810S and 235F 265R) in the Winter. I've run 3 seasons on them with zero problems. They are a great winter rubber and the car corners unusually well on them which is astounding considering that they are 40 mm narrower in back. I've had them at high speed on the highway with no issues.
I do run a large spacer on the rears now (I think it's 32 mm) to make the car look a bit more stock in those cold months. I think it also equalizes the front and rear tracks a bit but I'm not 100% on this.
Remember folks, these are winter wheels and tires! Not lightweight track wheels!
EDIT: Note my application is for a widebody (the car, not me) so you could cut back on the spacer size by about 19mm!
