Default Check out my AVIS rental

On a recent Germany trip. I got this for 200 Euro / 200 KM a day from Avis in Stuttgart. It was a C2 cab manual, full leather, Xenons, 19's, NAV. It was great fun on the Autobahn and in the Black Forest. As a newby C2S Coupe owner there are definite differences in the two cars. I think both are fantastic. The C2 motor has a smoother powerband and seems to rev faster however, I did miss my extra grunt of the S. The Cab rode better over bumps etc even with the 19's probably due to no PASM and I think the Cabs are softer sprung. I actually like the Sport setting on my PASM for hard driving and wish I had it for the mountain roads but I have to say that this car was more comfortable for daily driving. It started feeling light on the front end at 220 to 230 km/hr and got fairly loud through the top but not scary. I was sad in a way to comeback and drive my S in the US because the car is so much more capable than our traffic laws allow. Anyway, it was my version of European delivery and I recommend it highly.

That is terrific. Did you do the reservation here or there? I am planning on a trip this summer. I would love to rent something like this for the time I am there. Please send me the url? Nice pictures too.

Thank you.

Please tell more how you got that deal. I'm planning a trip to Europe this summer and was thinking of doing the same thing. From what I've seen, they typically start at around 400 euros/day. 200 is a steal!

cool: the second pic looks like where I live. Did not know the Greens still permit logging. They must have killed off all their owls long ago

The deal was real simple. Just go to AVIS.com and look for the German reservations number and book thru them. I did it about a month a head of time. Just be ready for the $9.00 a gallon gas! It burns up quick at a 140mph! But it was like crack cocaine I kept going back for more. Also, I got a Frommers Germany Driving Tours book which helped me piece together some routes. The NAV was a must, really helped through town and in the Dynamic mode it found some great back roads. I actually wish I had NAV on my S.

The cabs are reportedly 40% less stiff than the coupes. I'm SO glad I got a cab this time.

It looks like you're having a terrific time!! Yes,--they truly will suck down the Super Blei-Frei quickly at 250 kph!!

Gute Fahrt!
