Talking Porsche Batteries- You guys think we make this s*** up!

I just completed, what was, in my estimation one of the dumbest test's that Porsche has thrown my way. Maybe the "New Face Lifted Cayenne" test is a close 2nd.

Honestly, out of 20 questions, over half were about Battery life, care and knowledge. Are you F'ing kidding me? This was preceeded by 6 pages (yes, that's correct math man, 6 pages!!) of BATTERY MISCONCEPTIONS, CARE ECT!!!

So, to amuse myself I posted a question to the 'higher-ups' @ Porsche.

This is what I said:

Chris (the Porsche dude), was this months test on 'Batteries' a covert operation by high ranking officials to confuse and brain wash us that somehow the issue with Porsche and batteries going dead aren't a concern, and really it's about the dealership and clientel alike practicing 'good battery care'?

Honestly, you guys think we make this bull**** up, but I'm here to tell ya, we don't like hearing ANYONE bitch about these damn batteries......LOL

It's painful.

Carry on!!

When they offer a quiz on the non-existent RMS, let us know.

Have you seen the brochure that comes in new Porsche cars, the idiot's guide to Porsche ownership? It's nearly unbelievable, Q&A like "why does my Porsche ride rough, why are my Porsche tires wearing out so quickly, why does my Porsche make noise when I push the accelerator, why do I have to fill it with 93, why is the clutch/shifter so heavy?"

Thanks for reminding me of Bob--he was great theater. Makes me somehow feel better about my 928 battery issues to know that Porsche has solved them in the 996, er 997, er 998...

-From PCNA: "We're proud to announce that we've SOLVED the battery issues for the 996 and 997 chassis 911. It's YOUR FAULT."

"Thank you for being such a valued client of Porsche, PCNA and PAG."

Those guides are Prevent Defense; "Ve told you zat.. Vaaat-u-meen .. Ju didn't rread za manual?!"

I've got it in my business: people want to create their expectations - often divorced from practical reality. Better to lower expectations in advance - if you plan in keeping the same phone number.
