With ground already broken by the Ceyenne, I suspect this (if they tone down the Viper maw..) will be another market maker for Porsche.

Sure, I agree that's great-looking. The problem is that the picture you posted is not a Panamera. That's a mock-up from almost two years ago. An artist's vision of what a possible Porsche four-door might look like.

Now, two years later, we know that the artist got it almost completely wrong. Porsche did not build that car. Spy shots show a much different car than the one pictured above. It's photos like this one that leave me skeptical.

That looks a lot better than the Panamera that i've seen.

Woa, that's going to stick out like a sore thumb on the dealer floor amidst the beautiful 911's, Cayman's, Boxsters and Cayenne's. It looks like they are trying to keep some 911 design cues. The back end even looks like a 928. Can a ugly four-door Porsche sports car still sell? Maybe, but my bet is that without looks it will die a slow death.
