Default Questions about C4S I am thinking about buying

I am considering trading in my 996 C4S for a 997 C4S. The 997 has an aero package and 19" turbo wheels. How can I tell if these were factory installed options.

On the 996 I have a sticker with all the codes on the front hood, shouldnt this car have one too?

Its a 2008 with 2,000 miles. They want 99K and the car stickered for 108K. Is that a reasonable price?

Given it's a trade, I'll assume a dealer has the car you want. They should be able to pull the build sheet on it. Ask for it.

Yes But I am also concerned that it has no sticker on the hood. Maybe the hood was repainted.

no-it isn't a reasonable price. in this market, you should be able to get at least an 8% discount off a new car, with 10% being your goal. this is a used car-remember that the spread on a c4s is about 13% between invoice and msrp-so the 108k car initially cost the dealer about 94k-the 99k would have been a reasonable price for the 997c4s new. they are selling you a used car with 2000 miles on it, that has been broken in by someone else. i would say that 89k would be a reasonable price for that car. if he wants another grand, have him put a cpo on the car to extend your warranty. i'll guarantee you that when this poor bastard came back to trade in his 2000 mile c4s after probably paying something around 100k for the car, that the dealer gave him the talk (and correctly so) that most of that car's depreciation just took place and that all the dealership can give him back now is 75k. he would like nothing to do better than to take that used car, which he bought back at far under what it would cost him to get a new car, and sell it to you at a new car price. i would say $89,000-and if you get it, you will be getting one tremendous machine-good luck to you.

For 99 K you are in Turbo territory
Infant do your research and there are a BUNCH of cars in the 100K area.
Turbos GT3s and all kinds of cars. in about 2 weeks you should be able to find
an OUTSTANDING car at that price

99K seems high, considering you can get 5-8k (maybe more) off a new well optioned car at many places. The real question is what will the give you for your car? I traded my 05 cab and trade in number varied by 7k from dealer to dealer. Establish what your car is worth then then work them down on the 997. And yes....whats up with no sticker on the hood?? Also rememder for a few more $$ the 09s are coming with a more HP and better nav, ect.

As this is a 2008, I think high 80's would be a stretch unless the 'kit and the wheels are the only options on it. I could see low 90's though. OldGuy, help me find that low mileage, used '08 turbo for 99k, I'd trade up in a heartbeat!

Most have answered the price matter - 997's come with one build sticker (pre-997 cars came with 2) which is supposed to go in the Maintainance book - has engine/tranny/options/paint/int. codes/info.

So the absence of the sticker on the undeside of the hood should not mean the hood has been painted (but check anyway).

I had an factory Aerokit 997 C4S before my current 997 TT. Factory AK cars have a Mobil 1 and some other factory information stickers affixed to the painted surface on the underside of the spoiler. Most aftermarket installations do not. Hope this helps.

Sorry I have been gone for awhile. Thanks for all the responses.

If I could find a 997 turbo for that price I would buy it today but i dont see any of those fr less than 120K. They have lowered that car to 99K but I want 5k more for my car(47k).

When is the face lift car comming and where can I see pics.

Bella your car is stunning you have PM

I have my car this week and just checked my 2007 Hood. No sticker from the factory but it is in my Owners Manual. I had a Cayman S that was the same.

Also, I PMd you back about my Va Beach dealership, Checkered Flag. Sales Manager is Ed Klima 757-490-1111
