Default Leak

anyone ever unload coolant out the passanger side of the engine bay?? C4S was running hot, but not overheated and suddenly started dropping coolant as noted by the smoke coming from the passanger side exhaust. Left a good puddle once stopped. Pretty odd for such a new car...dealer won't be able to diagnose for a couple days and I'm tremendously curious....

Have no idea what is going on there,---but it doesn't sound CHEAP! Good luck,--and please report back on the diagnosis and fix.

Coolant Line was cut by the Carbon Fibre Air-box that was installed with the Champion F77 package. $480 repair...not covered under warranty.

I wouldn't expect it to be warranty,--but if the work was done by a shop for you, they are responsible.

Day #2 of owning my brand new 2008 C2S, coolant leaked (freaked out that I had a lemon) - took it in and Porsche said that the coolant cap was defective - "rarely happens". They put on a new one, pressure tested and it has worked ever since (all of 1250 miles now).

Good luck.

I had leaking from a bad coolant cap as well (2005 C2).

This problem was reported in Excellence in their review of the F77 package. They supposedly changed the design. I would think your issue is w them.
