Default FS FVD 997 Mufflers Sound Version

"FS set 997 "OE Look" Sound Version (3.8L). Part Number 210 111 997 0138. The export sound version of the FVD sport muffler gives the 997 a more pronounced aggressive sound. These mufflers are much less restrictive than the factory system and produce more power with increased sound. This system is for the person who truly wants to hear the deep, throaty sound the 997 can make."

Above is the quote from the FVD website. Go to www.fvd.de for more information. I used on my 2007 C4S which is for sale so I put my original mufflers back on the car. I paid $2200 but I see they now sell for $1768. So divide that by 2 for $880 and buyer pays for shipping. I will pack them to be shipped. They sound great and I would definitly buy them again. My C4s has 4400 miles and these mufflers went on about 3500 miles ago. They are clean and no winter driving or track heating problems. Pictures below and thank you!

Just wondering if you still have the mufferlers available and where I might be able to hear them from a sound clip?

I managed to hear the media clip from the FVD website, they don't sound much louder or deeper than stock? Did you install/remove them yourself with basic tools?

I had them put on but I took them off. I have a 996 for the track and take off my Fabspeeds from time to time and run Muffler ByPass pipes. It is very easy on either 996 or 997. The tips from my 997 took a bit of extra work to fit them back on but the fit is perfect.

As for the sound, it is not much diferent really. For my 997 I think that is better as I drive on the street only. I do think the air flow is better and they are a bit lighter. Also, based on the fact that FVD reduced the price, I assume others may have questioned the price.

Based on my price I would buy them if I were looking for a good upgrade with quality mufflers. They are definitley better than any Fabspeed type muffler IMHO. They are German made and high quality.

Thank you.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I just wish we had a track closer than Seattle to even consider running on as well as your weather. it's great to see all the info and comments on this site and be an owner again. Cheers
