I don't think that Z06 was running quite right. All of the 'other' tests of that car show 0-60 <4 secs and 0-100 around 8 secs.
Believe me, I'm not a Z06 fan, but I don't think that particular car was an accurate representative.

I don't know, but I'd be willing to bet that by any measuring stick there are more reported problems for a Vette than for a 997. And some that may not even be reported by owners who shrug off a minor defect or failure as something to be expected, and something they might be used to if they're regular GM customers.
Porsche owners are typically more demanding of their cars' quality, and will report the slightest annoyance or squeak they hear and demand that it be repaired under warranty no matter what.
