Default Supercharger update

Well after the 300 mile run in and then having the shop go over the install, I started to drive the way (could not go over 4500rpm for 1st 300 miles), I am very impressed, the car has amazing mid range pickup and is much faster than I thought it would be. I think we are also going to change the gearing in the car to better take advantage of the new power. Other than the supercharger whine at idle, I am loving this thing.

Hi,...I haven't posted here a lot but I've been lurking and reading.
I was wondering,..any plans to get a dyno and if so, would you post them here?
Thanks

Once we figure out the best way to regear, yes I will do a dyno. Based on all the mods that are one the car and from what imagine auto told me they have gotten on cars with the same mods, I am sure it is over 500hp. It is faster then my 430.

Good stuff.....happy for you. While waiting for my car at Champion the other day, I spoke to another customer who has the Evoms kit installed and he couldn't say enough positive things about it. I was tempted to ask him to drive it....so curious but I'm just not the type to ask that of a complete stranger.

I think you're looking at around 9 to 10 G's installed.

Evoms $11,900. They are also a site sponsor so perhaps this is negotiable.

See also: Ruf Kit $27,950 installed.

Nice write-up, and congratulations. I am waiting a little while before posting on my new-to-me sc'd 997S. Meanwhile, I am interested in hearing about your re-gearing. I had a 993S with the European G50-21 close ratio transmission and it was a very satisfying performance upgrade; easier to keep the engine in its' power band.

Well since there is not much of this car that is still stock (carpets maybe), and at my age and after 39 Porsches, this will likely be my last one. When I add up everything I put into this car, it cost me more than my 1st 360, but I needed a cab to put my twins in, and there is not better car in my opinion. I must admit I rarely drive it unless I can put the top down, so it only has 5500 miles on it. I think we are going to try the gearing in the new GT2 and see what that does first. Since I had the front and rear bumpers done along with the kit, the bill was around 17K, and I think it was worth every cent. I know unlike me most here are concerned about warranty, and certainly if you are, this is not a mod you would want to do. My shop has sent pictures and info to a few mags, and from what I was told, there is some interest in an article about the car. I will keep you informed about the gearing and any future mods we do.

Any update on how the supercharger held up or issues that it may have caused with your engine after the years? (I'm hovering on buying one)
