I have factory air in every tire. I have them pump it out prior to a tire changeover, and then reinflate it with the same. I think I'm getting perhaps an extra 20-30hp out of that alone. Anyone else out there using factory air?

I agree Dan that factory air rocks.
I do use Tire Rack air for my winter rubber, which I think is a reasonable compromise for winter driving.

I've a mate out here with a 1976 911 that still has the original air - I might see if I can use this to top up the pressures as I'm sure classic air will add more value to the car in the long term...

Speaking of inflating your tires, and before we broach the subject yet again, you might want to check these threads out.

That's a stupid comment.

I heard that was BS. Apparently factory air is heavier and provides no additional hp. Now, Tubi or AWE air...

How much should an air change cost me?
Knowing Porsche...probably about $1000.

Several reasons:

1. Reduces wear and tire on the OEM air in the tires.
2. Reduces sloshing of the headlight fluid.
3. Saves wear and tear on your Sport Chrono button, so you know it will be working properly at the track whenever you need the extra 20-30 hp.

Ken: That is what I love about this board sometimes. People like you say things that they would not have the guts to say in person. You can disagree with my comment or tell me like Cole328 did to lighten up but to call my comment stupid crosses the line.

The guys on the Cayman board claim the Valmet air is just as good or better than Stuttgart air. How could this be?

Due to the cost of air, tire wear issues, and of course better fuel economy I suggest replacing all 4 wheels and tires with space savers.

They also import the air in from Stuttgart. Pretty simple really.
