Tires-wheels buckling in reverse when full turn is this normal?
I have 2005 997, in reverse when the wheel is fully turned left or right (at slow speed) the wheels seem to buckle and skip like. I would define buckling or tires skipping and here a popping sound. This does not seem normal, anyone have any ideas.....will bring to the dealer next week I think. Thanks

I'm pretty certain what your describing is normal and is related to the camber of the front wheels. It happens in my car frequently when backing up with full lock and is disconcerting....but normal.

It is possible to exceed the turning radius of the car at low speed in forward and reverse. The tires will slip at an angle to the road surface. There are no stops in the steering to prevent this. Lessen the amount of lock used at parking speeds to prevent this. If you feel it, counter steer a bit. One of the wonders of Porsche steering.

Yep, normal. I get it when I leave the garage, then turn sharply and backup when cold. It has a skipping effect as you slowly backup with the steering turned sharply at very low speeds.
I do not feel it when car is fully warm and tires are up to temp.
