Default Terrible Service Newport Beach

I have had it with those clowns on PCH. I have had my car for 2 years and it has been in service dept. for 60 days+. I final got the local rep Ian to meet with me, how he got a job in the auto industry is anyone’s guess. The final straw was when I asked for the rear rotors to be replaced because of the squeal and also for Porsche to step up and make a good will payment for the amount of time in the service dept. Get this Ian said that my F110 wheels could be the issue since they are not factory wheels and may not be venting the rotors properly So next I get a call from Porsche customer service and deny the good will due to the number of days that I left the call at the dealer after it was fixed. What a bunch of BS I pick that car up with in a 1/2 hour of the phone call that it is ready. I am afraid to leave the car longer becaus it always gets a scratch from these clowns. I did speak with a so called Mgr at Porsche. Said they will handle it and I get a letter Fed ex saying denied. Now its not the money but someone needs to pay for their incompetence at the dealer. When I picked it up after paying for the brake job they had also ordered and replaced the cup holder, which is the wrong one and the door that covers it, does not close all the way. It just never ends Sorry for the rant but I had to voice this out loud and hopefully save someone else the misery.

You're not alone in your frustrations with these guys, home of the 800 dollar 20,000 mile service (oil change).

+1 on circle porsche...
circle porsche guys were REAL cool and friendly. my friend bought a boxster from there and it was a good experience. they guys were cool to show us EVERY p-car in the show room... even started up and rev'd the crap out of a nice 993...

+1 on newport auto center...
newport auto center was the exact opposite... pretentious bunch of a-holes that treated me like crap because i thought $66K was too much to pay for a 2003 996...

"do you know where you are sir, this IS newport beach... i'll have this car sold in a week"...

honestly, i dont work my *** off to have some 2-bit salesman say this crap to me...

i know service and sales aren't the same thing... but either way, newport rubs me the wrong way...

At least you didn't have to deal with the Cayenne cooling tube issue with them, talk about a nightmare.... I ended up having to get the parts myself from Germany.

I guess my next P car I won't be buying from them, but they usually have a good (overpriced) inventory.

All right! BTW, I like your new avatar. I was at his "house" last night for a presentation by the Secretary of the Air Force. Good to see you back

I talked with their sales dept before I moved back east, and they all seemed very knowledgeable, willing to deal, etc. I bought an S4 from the Audi side of Hoehn and it was a great experience.

A friend purchased a 2004 TT from them in November and liked them. I don't think they are a large dealer, but maybe that is a benefit, unless you're looking for a large selection to choose from for purchasing purposes.
