Default count me in

I would be in and I bet he could sell 50 his first week! He is a smart guy, sure he has explored this and there has to be a reason he isn't doing it?

Sorry, been traveling. The mfr who made these is an oem supplier to Porsche, and Porsche has not authorized them to make them for the 997/987 at all, and never has. They were the only oem supplier on the 996 rings, though there were knockoffs.

Seems though the tendency has been to not go in that direction, not as many folks want bling on the gauges, but we DO offer a painted gauge surround as another option.

And should this oem supplier offer them, we will likely have them, but I don't hold out much hope.

Just plastic-dip it......

It's pretty easy to do....

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...-0o-gauge.html

I did it 2 years ago and it's still holding up very well!

Psymon...

Curious... because I really like the results... but can you just tape-mask areas as you would for paint with Plastidip?

I thought that if you taped off an area and did the Plastidip spray that pulling the tape up would also pull the thin vinyl layer you just created ??? Is this a case where you tape mask, spray, then before pulling the tape you run along the edge with a razor or hobby knife?

Plastdip should outlive the car's interior in an application like the one shown on the gauges.

.
