I agree with your issue. It is one reason I would likely not buy a Targa. There are times when I want no sun or light coming in, and if I want it, I can open the shade. The Audi A3 did the same thing with their large sunroof ("open sky"), and I dislike it for the same reason. I'd rather not have the sunroof if I can't block it completely when I want to. I find too much overhead brightness quite tiresome sometimes.
