I keep several German (and other language) special characters in a Stickie (Mac user) and then paste it in when needed. Or, an alternative for normal people, go to Altavista.com and select their translation program which will put in the correct letters when necessary. Link: http://babelfish.altavista.com/translate.dyn Of course, it helps to know when a certain letter is called for in German, to begin with.

[QUOTE=ECS;5087407]I did. Loved the sign but wrote them a letter saying that although I love their sports cars I consider a suped up SUV a rediculous proposition.
I thought the same thing until I drove a Cayenne TT. My salesman basically said shut-up and drive it. Now I have one

[QUOTE=Truble10;5105563]I have to agree. The majority who put down the Cayenne have never driven one,--particularly the turbo. Porsche really knows their engineering to get somethig that large to perform that well. I recall FOLLOWING one on the autobahn less than 2 years ago when I was doing about 180 mph.

Yeah, yeah, I know the Cayenne Turbo is fast but fast in a straight line doesn't do it for me. I was driven in a Turbo at Barber and drove an S at Buttonwillow and I definitely don't see the point. Regardless of the model, it will never have the performance of a P sports car in the twisties or on the track. Too heavy.
I guess if you need a utility vehicle (lots of space, numerous people mover, towing, soft roading) and can choose only one car then maybe the Cayenne S would fit the bill (still rather have a Cayenne hybrid). It would do the above and still be kind of fun on the twisties (barely). Punch and go getting 10mpg just seems absurd in this day and age. But then again, I wouldn't have had a 996 C2, 996GT3, or a 997S if I also didn't use them at the track. If I lived in Germany then yes. In the U.S., unless you are in Nevada or near some great mountain roads, even these cars are a tough proposition.
