Default Good buying experience from Piloti driving shoes…

I love to heel-toe when I drive, and my old driving shoes are well worn. My wife has decided to get me a new pair of driving shoes (probably is a hint that the old pair doesn’t look pretty in our shoe closet ;-)

My wife ordered me a new pair Piloti from its website. They arrived but (Duh!) the size was a bit too narrow for me.

She called Piloti, and the folks at there were very nice & apologetic. They suggested to exchanging for a half-size larger shoes, so to make sure the shoes wouldn’t be too loose for my driving.

Piloti promptly shipped us another pair of shoes in a half-size larger. They also paid for all the shipping cost.

Second pair arrived but (Duh!) was still a little bit too narrow for me.

Wife called Piloti again for an exchange; and the folks at there were again, very nice and apologetic. They promptly shipped us a third pair of shoes in a full-size larger. They again paid for all the shipping cost.

Finally, today the third pair of shoes arrived. And they fit perfectly! Yeah!!

I am not affiliated with Piloti at all, and I am just speaking as a satisfied customer. If you were to looking for your next driving shoes, I highly recommend trying Piloti :-))

With best regards,

I have 4 pairs of Piloti shoes...yes I know I am sick with them. I will probably get another 2 pair soon. All there shoes are very comfortable and have a cool style. Plus I like with way the rounded heel walks especially on my prosthetic leg. Very smooth walking shoes and awesome driving shoes.
My 1st pair I've had over a year and they wear very well and last.

I bought a pair last year and not only are they very comfortable for driving (narrower than most shoes which makes quick clutch and brake work easier) they are also very comfortable to walk or stand around in. They are also pretty inexpensive, well made and do make heel/toe easier because of the way the sole is molded.

I bought a pair at Wine Country Motorsports at Infinion in Sonoma. Good selection and you can try them on before you buy them. Great driving shoes.

I'm thinking about getting some Pilotis too, and I wonder if you guys wouldn't mind sharing which model you bought and why you liked them over the other models.

I tried on a couple types of Pumas today but they all seem to be made for very narrow feet. No Pumas for me.

I purchased the Prototypos. The seem to run true-to-size, at least in my experience. I'm an 11.5 (US) and that's what I bought, great fit, very comfy.

Do you wear a D or C or some other width? Do you wear 11.5 in dress shoes and Nikes? Just trying to get a feel for how to order. Thanks.

I bought prototypo's. I wear a 12 typically and that is what fit my foot in the Piloti's. I bought mine at Ogee Racing in D.C. which allowed me to skip Alex's experience. I wear a B width typically and the prototypo's are fine but I've got a little room so I think if you were a C they'd be ok.

Yes, 11.5 in Nike. My feet are a tad wide.
