steering wheel locked?
strange occurance this AM, got in car, turned key and nothing happened, got red message in message center that said "STEERING WHEEL LOCKED"
I moved the wheel back and forth and the car then started. no problem now, but found this unusual

I believe it happens when the car is parked with the wheels turned in such a way as to cause the steering wheel to be forced against one of it's locking bolts (may be the wrong term but whatever keeps the steering wheel from turning when the key is removed). The warning indicates that the owner should move the steering wheel to release the force against the locking bolt before starting the car. It has happened to me a couple of times.
