Default Ordered car build date and shipping info

The car I have on order was changed from a dealer spec metor gray car to a Basalt Black car, and I am told that the projected build completion date could be bumped up because Basalt is a more common color. Is there any way for a buyer to check periodically for a revised build date without bugging the dealer? Also, I recall seeing a shipping schedule in the past. Is shipping info such as departure and arrival dates and ports publicly available? Thanks.

Bug the dealer. They can tell you the Checkpoint 8 date (finished) and even tell you the name of the car carrier that will bring it across the pond.

Marty - Congrats on the order. I had a Basalt TT and it was the best color of any car I have ever owned. You will love it.

Thanks. I'm stoked. Straight black would be my first choice if I had a full-time detail boy, but I really like Basalt and I think it will suit my detailing habits a little better. This will be my first P-car. I'll be 40 in a few months and I've been asked if this car is a sign that I'm having a mid-life crisis. I've had my eye on the 911 since high school and I'm finally able to comfortably afford it - I don't see any crisis in that Counting the days and trying not to think about the hit on my bank account.
