"Favorite watches" was a real long thread some time ago. Look at the Porsche magazines and you see that the same folks interested in fine cars like nice watches, boats, audio, hobbies, etc. I think it's a good thread and hope it keeps going.

Interesting combination of Bikes. I had one of the first R1200GS's in 2005 but i sold it last year. Currently I am bike less. But the K1200GT intrgues me as well as the new 2008 ADV. I would like to have them both, I think. I know I want and will get the ADV or maybe just the GS(I have a hard time with the extra weight of the ADV vs the GS).
Bottom line how do you like the K1200GT? Is it better in the tight corners versus the old GT(which was an absolute pig in the tight stuff IMO)?

We spend a bunch of time on the water in our pontoon boat, but here is my toy.

A "hobby" is collecting stamps, tying flies, building Estes rockets. Expensive boats are not hobbies.
This thread is going to end up yet another "club" opportunity for everyone to display their wealth and congratulate each other on their success.
I hope this gets moved to off topic FAST.

So I'm sitting here at a pool in Mexico and had really promised myself not to post anything; instead I wanted to merely read what's going on at Rennlist.
And then this... didn't we just cover the topics 'trolls', 'negativity', 'attacks that are uncalled for', and alike? Didn't we agree that we wished we had more community-building threads again?
I don't have a boat, i don't have a motorcycle, and I don't have any kind of "other woman" besides the one that comes with *****, but I still love this kind of thread. I enjoy looking at the pictures and I'm happy for the owners.
And if they happen to be wealthy, well, good for them, they probably worked hard for it (I like wealthy people; they give jobs to my students).
And why not share their happiness? After all, we also allow the players on our favorite sports teams to celebrate after a win; we probably celebrate their touchdowns ourselves, jumping up and down in the living room (for something we personally did not even achieve).
We had great community-building threads in the past, showing off our faces, our girlfriends, our jobs, our watches, etc. These threads were always a lot of fun for those who participated, as the high number of replies always shows. I, too, enjoyed them, mostly because we kept trolls and "the glass is half empty" people out. So, really, since we can choose which threads to read and which ones to leave closed, we all should simply not read the the stuff we don't like.
Hopefully, my post does not start a discussion but rather encourages everyone to post more pictures. Yes, I'm just an n=1, but this is the perfect stuff to look at under a blue sky in 86 degrees in a country where jealousy and envy are nonexistent to begin with... maybe we should move Rennlist down here and leave all the sour people behind.
P.S.: I will now fulfill my promise to myself and not post until I'm back home.
