There is (or was) such a color.... it is called Lapis Blue. However, they removed it from the standard/available pallet for 2008.

The pic in post #15 is the TT of Atomic80 (Jason) after he put GT3RS wheels on it, which are waaay better than TT wheels, IMO.

Predator, you absolutely positively need to see this color in person, in the shade as well as under an overcast sky as well as in direct sunlight. It was one of the colors I was considering, so I drove to Dallas and checked one out. I was particularly concerned that it might be too much in-your-face as some had previously suggested. I did not find the color to be overbearing, but it looked soooo different from the pictures; I did not like it in direct sunlight and only marginally liked it in the shade. Under an overcast sky it looked best, but we don't have many of those down here in LA (Louisiana, that is, home of the upcoming college football champions).

On a side note, I found Phil's comment absolutely reasonable. I remember when searching for cobalt, there were quite a few pictures. Back then I downloaded more than a dozen of them and still have them. If you PM me your email address, I will send them to you.

Hey guys I am sorry I didnt see this post earlier... Yes, the above statement sums it up. The color is a lot lighter in the sun, and a lot darker at night or under the clouds.

I have posted several pics from when I bought the car, here are the relevant threads.

These are in the shadow so you see daker shades.

There are a few on this thread, some of mine from detailing day. Look at one where the rear is in the sun and the front in the shade, it will give you an idea...

I am a bit biased but I so love this color...
Good luck.

Dan I love that turquoise . The Cobalt looks awesome in certain pictures. Here is the car I am replacing. Maybe this will explain the major color discussion I spawned. Leguna Seca Blue was so amazing I couldnt walk away from that car without looking at it. I also loved the non-metallic. If I cant decide on the Cobalt I will probably go with Guards Red cause I dont wanna spring for a special color but I cant help thinking what a Leguna Seca Blue C4s would look like!

Beautiful! I'm sure you know that you could probably also have that color on your Porsche (paint-to-sample). Just takes some time and effort (and extra bucks). I know that Porsche rejects a few colors, but it might be worth a try (Dan knows more about the process).

Many people think Porsche's blue turquoise is close the the BMW Laguna Seca blue. They do a great job on non-metallics. Plan on 9 months for a custom job. Most of the darker paint to samples are not a problem. The lighter ones are non-starter with Porsche due to process issues.
