Default Blinder M25 X install

I received the Blinder laser blocker and cheetah wireless device for christmas. Got it installed and im pretty happy with the set up. Ironically my local paper had a front page story last week about the local LEO's using LIDAR. I thought Id share the pics:
oh, i was unhappy with the radar mount becuase it limited the adjustability of the rear view mirror. my trsuty dremmel fixed that.

ADF, sure.
The Blinder system was $379.00 direct from Blinder here in the US. I did not want the hassle of wiring through the firewall so i also bought the Cheetah wireless system which i think was around $120.00.
I was going to do the install myslef but i couldnt figure out how to wire from the front detectors into the front trunk. I took it to a local shop that had done soem work on my truck and they said they could install the whole thing for $100.00. I has asked them not to drill any holes in the bodywork, in the end they needed to put a small hole for the wire in the black plastic inserts. It isnt noticable, and if i ever remove the detectors i will plug the hole with a 1/4 inch plug. The Cheetah is a simple install, straight on to the battery. It has a 'smart' device that means it only pulls current when the engine is running. The detectors plug into this which is installed in the battery compartment. The wires are all hidden. The small receiver that comes with the Cheetah system fits perfectly under the Passport 9500i, it is black and looks like it is part of the escort. The laser blocker is legal in states that radar/laser detectors are legal in, but Blinder recomend that when you get a laser alert on the blinder you should slow down and then turn off the blinder. This way the LEO can get your speed on the second or third attempt and you wont raise suspicions as you wont be blocking the LIdar to the gun. So, i have an on/off switch down in the upper passenger foot well that i can reach from the drivers position should i need to turn the unit off. Thats about it, if you have any questions let me know.

\cheers

Thanks for the info. I have a Blinder M25 on my BMW that has saved me many tickets. I avoided putting one on my 997 because I didn't want to make any holes. I see now the Cheetah wireless is the way to go. BTW, how did you aim the jammers?

The jammers have a cover that if you remove has a small hole in which you can insert the supplied level. Once i got the units level it was fairly esay to ensure the units were pointed in paralel to the car as opposed to pointing towards the sies of the road. i used 3M tape, and a sharpy to color the side of the gray 3 m tape black so it blends in. At soem point i may play with the brackets that came with the blinder but for now im happy with it.

cheers

Thanks, I'll give it a go. FWIW I have had the jammers on my Bimmer attached with 3m double sided tape for 3 years and still on there rock solid.
