Default Dension Bluetooth

Can anyone explain how the Dension bluetooth works with the GW 500 and PCM in our cars? I know what BT and am fairly technical, but my question is more functional than technical. For example:

1. Does it use the phone module in the car like the microphone in the stearing wheel?

2. What is displayed on the PCM?

3. Does your contact list get displayed in the PCM?

4. Does it support voice dialing?

5. How is the quality?

I've read the Dension website but there isn't much information on it. There's also not a really good User Guide for the GW with Ipods in use with the PCM as well, but that is another thread.

Eric the Plugs guy has been great with this product, maybe you could help?

Thanks in advance. I hope others find this information useful in order to decide if they would lilke the BT unit or not.

No, it is a simple adapter to the Dension, so it interfaces only with the ipod operation.

2. What is displayed on the PCM?
Caller id

3. Does your contact list get displayed in the PCM?
No

4. Does it support voice dialing?
No

5. How is the quality?
Some report good, other have problems. Mic location seems to be an issue.

We also carry the Tooki unit, which of course is significantly more expensive, but is a full featured interface on its own. It does not yet have voice dialing, but seems to solve many of the other limitations of the Dension Bluetooth unit.

For $99, the Dension will handle calls while you listen to the iPod, but that's about it.

For $750, the Tooki will handle just about anything you need.

It does support voice dialing from your phone. It's just difficult to get to it.!
I use the voice dialing, when I can get to it!!
The Tooki, while being an excellent unit that interfaces with the PCM does NOT support voice dialing!
