Now that's its winter I have to travel with the top up.
When the music is not blasting I really notice creaks and squeaks from the top.
This is my 3rd softop and I think they all squeaked. Is their a remedy to make the top silent - coupe like? Or am I asking for something that does not exist?
Any comments would be appreciated.

2006 Cab 12,500+ miles not top issues. I did have 1 issue a log time ago when I 1st got the car with a rattle in the top. It was one of the cross bars in the top strap holder came lose. Took it to the dealer and they said this was a common problem and they fixed it in 30minutes while I waited.

I have an '07 cab S ('06 production) with 8,500 miles, and I've had no creaks, rattles, etc. I previously had a Boxster S, which creaked and rattled everywhere. I used to use something called Gummy Pfledge (sp?), which I would apply to the rubber edges of the convertible top, and that used to help. I think it's a BMW product, which you should be able to fine on line.

I am Roberga's brother-in-law, and I have had similar problems with my 2007 C4S cab, but both times fixed under warranty by the boys at Barrier Porsche. Back in August, at 6500 miles, I was getting squeaking from the back of the cab top. Barrier lubed it and it went away. It gradually came back, along with a high pitched buzzing sound from behind the back seats. Took it in two weeks ago at 11,800 miles, and the tech again fixed the cab top squeak with Wurth rubber care applied to the rubber seals at the back of the top. Spray it on, protect the fabric of the top, and wipe off any that gets on the paint. He tracked the buzzing down to the two pop up roll over protection bars, and ordered a new set of them. Once installed, the buzzing was gone. The car is (relatively) quiet once again, the only unwanted noise coming from the tires on the corrugated pavement of I-5 up here.
