Looking for Best "Indoor" car Cover

Exactly what I was going to suggest. although I don't care about thread count. While sheets don't look that impressive, who cares? They do a great job. I covered my precious classic 57 Thunderbird this way for about 10 years with great success. The sheets can be thrown in washer and/or dryer to keep clean, they are easy to throw on and pull off the car, they don't trap any moisture, and being light weight they don't grind any surface dirt into the paint. It is only the top surfaces that collect the dust anyway, so no need to cover the sides.

You've got your priorities backwards.
The objective in using an indoor car cover is to keep your paint finish free of dust accumulation and to help prevent scratches from objects that may accidentally come in contact with the unprotected paint. If you read my analysis in the post cited above you'd understand that there is a risk in getting micro scratches with a tight cover if your car happens to have the slightest amount of dirt film that you wouldn't necessarily notice.
Dirt + Applied Pressure + Sliding Motion = Micro Scratches
The looser the cover, the less likely you'll pick up fine scratches. The Dustop™ is a four layer soft cover that keeps out dust and provides a protective layer for the polished paint on your garaged car. It's a custom fitted cover that actually looks pretty good, if that's what you're looking for.

I understand the physics, and agree with your logic; looser is safer than tighter. I was mostly just tugging at your strings with my comment.
My car is a daily driver and the cover only gets put on if I am going on vacation and the car has been cleaned and waxed. This cover is not as tight as it looks and it is really light, stretchy and sexy. Obviously, I would not be using it if I thought there were damage occurring. I have had them on my last 3 cars and have not noticed linear micro scratches. For me, it is worth this potentiality to enjoy the way the vehicle looks with the cover on and when it is unveiled.

just a bump to showcase my latest P-car spandex... love it.
Got it from the manufacturer in Italy. Fit is tight as a glove, and yes I am aware and much intimidated by possible scratches so there is a nice coat of z6 under there EVERYTIME the cover goes on... Oh and this is a showcase of my cr@py blackberry phone camera of 2MP. Cover is bright yellow despite appearences.

I know it was one of the candidates. I have to say that having color options was a great plus for me thats why I went with after market. I assume there is little difference in the style of the two covers...

Hi, rennlisters,
I bought "dustop" from carcoverworld after checking several threads in our forum. Great experience, I love it, (and hopefully "she" as well). I also would recommend a car cover with a looser fit.
Bet regards
Rolf
