What is the advantage of the X54 - Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipes option? Exhaust systems have to be pretty sturdy to meet emissions requirements so this would not seem to add a lot of value. Am I missing something?

They are chromed tips.
This is purely cosmetic - chrome more shinny/bling.
No other advantage (maybe easier to clean?)

IMO definitely the chrome makes a big difference in the looks category and easy cleaning. The OEM chrome tips are superb in quality!
