Sirius Station Name Updates?
Have the Cayenne Sirius radio, installed 9 months ago. (yes, poor reception; yes, occasional freeze, per the other thread).
Can the station names be updated? For example, there are new Bruce and Grateful Dead stations, but on the display they show the old name of the station.
I have a new Chevy Avalanche with XM, and the station names change as part of the digital stream, and that is what is shown on the radio unit. The station names even change when a baseball game changes. (and no, not what is being played, but the actual station name).
Are we frozen in time forever? Is there something I have overlooked? Next time the car is in for service, can the dealership update?
thanks in advance, jb

I think the new Sirius station names are temporary, and that's why we aren't seeing name changes. I have OEM Sirius in my M3, and the allegedly new Garth Brooks station is still called Prime Country or "PrimeCtry," as it were. I remember a DJ saying something like "Well, Garth won't be around forever, but we'll at least enjoy him while the station is his."
