Question Targa

What's your thoughts on a Targa 4S as an everyday driver? Is there a sunshade for all that glass? Any problems noted on the 997s?

Thanks.

There is a sunshade under the roof panel. It doesn't get rid of all the sun, but I haven't had any problems when I did have to "drive to work" wearing a suit in DC-area August. Mine is a 2007 (non-S) and the 2008 model was designed to have a stronger shade. I think it would be fine as a daily driver, if you are willing to drive any 997 as a daily driver. Climate control is adequate.

A minor comfort factor is that the suspension on the base Targa 4 is supposedly a tad softer than on other base coupes. I don't know if this is the case with the S version, when PASM is in non-sport mode.

Use my T4 as a daily driver and love it. Always have light in the cabin and if sun is out sunshade seems to work well. airconditioner keeps you cool and heated seats means you can open the car almost year round.

Should be a great daily driver. A friend of mine has one as a daily driver and loves it. BTW, I believe I read somewhere that the suspension settings on the Targas are a tad softer than the coupes so the ride should be even better.
