Default Does anyone regret getting PSE?

I'm considering adding PSE and am wondering if anyone wishes they wouldn't of done. Is the sound considerably better? How much louder?

I can't count the number of times other P car owners have come over to me and said 'wow' when they hear it.Yes it is a lot of money for 'noise'. But what a 'noise'....

I love mine too.
The only time I turn it off is when I see a cop or near home late at night.
My neighbors told me that they can hear me 2 blocks away and my car sounds so much better than the new turbo my neighbor just bought.
But yes, it is a lot of money for just noise.

+1. A Tubi would be better, but then I couldn't shut it off when I'm rolling into the neighborhood at 3am... :-)

No regrets. Nice noise when you want it (most of the time for me).
More polite when discretion is called for.
And all with the flick of a switch.
Get it. You won't regret it.

If money is an issue, consider other aftermarket alternatives... My AWE is mechanical music from 4-7k or under heavy load lower than that, but I can cruise in the 2-4k range under light throttle and not bother the neighbors. The On/off switch is me

If sound and the button were all you wanted, and money was not an issue, OEM is hard to beat. If you want to lower weight, have freer flow, etc. -- consider aftermarket (and you can always swap back if you sell the car and get 50% back on the aftermarket).

I love my PSE and I will get it again. No matter how good or different the aftermarket exhausts sound, the PSE is still the official Porsche tuned exhaust note.

The ON/OFF function is very useful, one second I am roaring through the street, another second when I see a police car I press the button and I become a gentle cruiser.

The only draw back is its price, but if order PSE with the car the price also includes the factory 4yr/50K warranty... no bad.

With best regards,

Love mine. Love it more after disconnecting the on-off solenoid. The 3000rpm automatic deactivation to pass EU drive-by noise requirements is a bummer if you leave the solenoid connected.

Yes it is, and this is the one reason why I would not buy PSE again. I'd love to be able to switch it off at will, but to do that I have to leave it connected and live with the infuriating cutout (no, I am not going to consider modifying my car vis-a-vis the custom switch). It's Tubi for me next time.

Don,
The Tubi is quite amazing.
If you dont give it gas, its very quiet, like the on-off switch is your right foot !
I assume you dont drive WOT at 3am in your neighbourhood :-)

Default I have a new car (06 C2S) with PSE coming, and I will be taking my

Evolution Motorsports Intake, Headers and Exhaust from my current (06 C2S). I have not decided if I will switch the items over. Has any one switched from PSE to a third party system?
